2017 Winnebago County CASA Fall Seminar "The Silent Voice of Childhood Trauma"

Please join us for the 2017 Winnebago County CASA Fall Seminar, "The Silent Voice of Childhood Trauma," to be held on Friday, October 20th, at the Radisson Hotel and Convention Center in Rockford, Illinois.  Registration begins at 8:30 AM.

More than ever, children are being impacted by trauma.  As child care workers, providers, therapists, medical providers, volunteers, probation officers, teachers, community leaders and community activists, we must become knowledgeable about how trauma affects children, and develop a common understanding about interventions that can provide a safe and nurturing environment for children who have experienced trauma.  This seminar will address "How Trauma Impacts Children" followed by "Effective Interventions for Trauma."

Gain insight into the inner workings of trauma in children, and learn concrete strategies to intervene in a positive way to provide a nurturing environment which could serve as the opportunity to promote healing and transform a child's life.

The cost is $40 to attend, CASA volunteers receive a discounted price of $25.  CEU's & CPDU's are available.
